Our Famous Address

The Smile Dental Clinic isn’t just a word-class dental surgery conveniently located in central london.

We are proud and privileged to operate out of the very same address where Sir Arthur Conan Doyle not only worked as a physician, but also wrote many of his 56 short stories and 4 very famous Sherlock Holmes novels.

Since then, his historical works have spurred a massive 217 films, spanning nearly 100 years – more recently with the Hollywood blockbuster film ‘Sherlock Holmes‘ starring Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law. A sequel is in post-production.

But it’s not all completely fiction.

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was also a fervent advocate of justice and personally investigated two closed cases at our very address, which led to two men being exonerated of the crimes of which they were accused.
